FREEHOLD STATE
Freehold State is a collaboration between Tropical Futures Institute and Passenger Pigeon Press. The zine and sarong contained in this work prompt their audience to consider notions of prosperity, modesty, and progress through the lens of Forest City, a man-made, utopian island located in the Johor Strait.
The sarong was ready-made and silkscreened. The enclosed zine was digitally printed. All of the text in the zine is set in Kefa in various styles and sizes. The tape was digitally printed and the white circle sticker was ready-made. The title label was made on a label maker using Calgary font.
